Although there are no preparations necessary, it would be helpful for our occupational therapists to have information regarding your condition to prepare a treatment plan. Doctor referrals or previous medical reports will provide insight to your care provider on the proper care and treatment based on your needs.
One hour or 60 minutes are allotted for each occupational therapy session.
A care plan depends on the care recipient’s recovery journey which is different for each person. Occupational Therapists are trained to take all factors of your recovery in the care plan at their initial assessment, including which treatment is appropriate for you as well as the frequency of each session.
To properly advise a personalized care plan, our occupational therapists will conduct an initial assessment that will cover your goals, your current health and physical condition as well as your home environment and any home modifications that might be necessary for your care.
