why CAREGIVERS?

Why are caregivers important?

Advanced conditions or chronic illnesses make life more difficult for seniors who are living with them. Retirement is the stage where adults should be enjoying their lives, not the other way around. Our purpose is to deliver quality nursing care, provide emotional support, and extend medical assistance to the elderly. This is the best way for aging Singapore citizens to improve their health condition and overall well-being, despite being outside an acute hospital setting.
The benefits of our caregiving service to care recipients

What our caregivers can do...

With our expertise in caregiving, the pressure on family members will be reduced. They will have peace of mind knowing that their loved ones will receive support and nursing aides from our highly-trained caregivers. We provide either long-term or short-term care, in and outside of senior care centres.
Personal Care

Personal care

The right nursing skills include providing quality personal care. This means assisting seniors in their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility, and transferring. Aging adults with chronic illnesses may experience difficulty in doing their everyday tasks. With a reliable caregiver by their side, their basic needs will not be overlooked.
Companion

Companionship

Other than providing care services, caregivers also serve as companions for the elderly. They can accompany your aging loved ones in their outdoor trips or social activities. In the absence of a family member, a caregiver can fill in and give an elderly care recipient the emotional support he or she needs.
Night

Night Care

Seniors may receive care through the night. Caregivers will assist with toileting or nursing needs to prevent any risk of falling or wandering. Aging adults have less bladder control which forces them to get up in the wee hours of the morning.
Ambulance

Medical Escort

Seniors who are ill or disabled cannot easily go to their medical appointments alone. Our caregivers can act as medical escorts to safely transport seniors to and from their medical check-ups or treatments. This way, family members can assure the safety and comfort of their loved ones.
Vital Signs

Vital Signs Monitoring

A caregiver will also monitor the health status of your elderly loved one. Seniors are more prone to health conditions such as high blood pressure, high blood sugar, etc. Although these are common, leaving them unmanaged may lead to more complicated issues. Caregivers can regularly check temperatures, conduct pulse and/or blood pressure readings, and monitor blood sugar levels.
Doctor

Check-In Visit

Even when the families are away, they can regularly check on how their loved ones are doing. Caregivers can provide transparent real-time updates on the status and progress of the seniors. This way, they can guarantee that their loved ones are being cared for.
how CAREGIVING works

Our caregiver support action plan

Being a caregiver is not an easy task. We trained our caregivers to perform the best care service for our elderly care recipients, but for that to happen we need to provide all the support that caregivers need. We have formulated ways on how to help our staff in their caregiving journey.

1
Caregiver Training
There are essential skills needed in making a good caregiver. We provide thorough caregiving training sessions and seminars to help develop the skills and knowledge that caregivers need to have to provide the best care. This includes stress management, practicing patience, and every aspect of assisting aging individuals.
2
Financial Support
Training can be costly and not all aspiring caregivers have the financial capability to undergo it. with that said, we provide financial assistance and schemes to give support to training caregivers. This way, they will be able to experience proper coaching and priming for the job.
3
Respite Care for Live-in Caregivers
For families who are looking after their elderly loved ones themselves, they may experience caregiver burnout. To prevent this from happening, we offer respite care. This means letting our caregivers fill in for the roles of family caregivers. With our care services, caregivers can take their much-needed rest and recharge.
